How can our Reading and Literacy Group benefit your child?

We offer an integrated approach that will not only prepare your child for ERB / WPPSI testing, it will nurture a love of reading, improve literacy, augment vocabulary, increase comprehension, promote working in a group, enhance verbal skills and enrich your child on countless levels... academically, creatively, emotionally, and socially. Best of all, it's painless because we make it fun! From your child’s perspective it will feel more like a “day camp” than a “boot camp”.

Our Reading and Literacy Groups are available for Pre-K and elementary school age children. The Reading and Literacy Groups are limited to no more than five children per group and two proctors facilitate each group; a Bank-Street educated Literary Specialist and a Speech Language Pathologist. The entire program is overseen by Dr. Jessica Galgano CCC-SLP, who has serviced the Bank Street School for Children for six years.

The specific needs of each child are identified and addressed so we are able to tailor the curriculum accordingly to challenge each member of the group at his/her ideal level. We are able to accomplish this without losing sight of the areas that must be addressed to ensure success in the classroom and in the testing environment.
